Welcome Back, Yeezy
The internet has been buzzing with talk about Kanye’s new single , “Power”, off his upcoming album reportedly titled Good Ass Job. When he’s not busy interrupting teenage girls at award shows or criticizing presidents, he’s making damn good music. The 808’s and Heartbreaks Kanye seems to be long gone and he’s back in all of his raw, cocky glory that everyone either hates or loves. No matter your opinion on ‘Ye, you have to admit that this song is nothing short of the shit.

Luxe Lobalita The Soundtrack: PART DEUX–Therefore I Am
Now I first discovered them on accident. I was working for them/Equal Vision Records at Warped 2009. I honestly went to watch their set just to be polite. My music taste is all over the place, so I wasn’t too surprised when I ended up loving everything about them. When they’re performing, Alex Correia commands your attention. I bought The Sound of Human Lives and played it all summer. I was going through a bit of “rough patch” and let’s say my inner emo kid got a little chance to live.
I even got the privilege, with The Atlanta Dolls , to interview the band’s singer Alex Correia, and guitarist, Travis Alexander on their last stop here in Atlanta.
The Dolls interviewed Boston’s very own Therefore I Am before their show at The Masquerade on February 2, 2010.
Luxe Lobalita The Soundtrack: PART UN–YelaWolf
I don’t think I’ve stopped listening to Trunk Muzik or Arena Rap in about…two months. A lot of the first Luxe Lobalita ideas were executed to Yela’s music. If you know me, you know I’m an avid rap fan. I don’t like just any kind of rap. I have an affinity for anything gutter, raw, gritty and real…and this here is real.
Wake up, Wake up, Wake up
So, this song is pretty much made for today. The first of the month seems like the perfect day to launch a blog, don’t you think? This is going to be my temporary little den until the full site goes up in a little bit, so bare with me. Anyway, I want to use this to share updates with you guys, and let you know when the first collection will actually be dropping. (Things are going good now, so it should be very, very soon.) Luxe Lobalita means a lot to me and I’ll slowly explain everything for you all here. Sit back, enjoy and watch me.

P.S. – Don’t forget that I’m a writer and I’ll actually be doing real blogging on this thing
